Have you ever had a laundry list of home projects you need to tackle? And as you look at the list all you see are the dollars adding up?? 

And then you have to choose: which projects are most important?

Well, I’m going to be honest with you – this is how we were starting to feel about the list we had going at our Specialized Care program – lots to do and not a lot of funds to do it! 

Now, we weren’t going to let this obstacle stop us. Creating a space that is comfortable and welcoming for our youth is a top priority. Despite the impossibility of it all, we had hope that we could get it all done. But we couldn’t do it alone.

This is where our exciting news comes in: We recently received a HUGE grant from Children’s Trust Fund that will help us complete a ton of these projects and updates around Good Samaritan!

These include: 

• New kitchenettes for our Specialized Care dorms
• Wi-Fi and new security cameras
• New flooring for our Specialized Care dorms
• New HVAC systems
• A de-humidifier for our pool

• …and so much more!

This grant will make such a difference for the youth we serve. ‘Home’ updates are always a daunting task, but in partnership with Children’s Trust Fund, we now have the resources to prioritize these projects and give our space the makeover it needs!
